Despite being born and raised in Connecticut, Susan is often said to be more French than her husband. Having spent almost 15 years in France, she loves food and wine and the art of entertaining. Her food and beverage experience paralleled Pierre’s until she decided to create her own marketing consulting firm while they were still living in the southwest of France. This allowed her to continue to work with specialty food companies as well as giving her the freedom to pursue other interests, such as cooking and lending a hand to her restaurateur friends.

Susan developed a special attachment to Martha's Vineyard while visiting her mom and vacationing here over a 20 year period before persuading Pierre and the family to move to the Island permanently.

Today, Susan combines her personal and professional experience in making an evening at The Sweet Life Café a memorable occasion for all of her guests.
